As one of the lead surgeons at the Royal Free Hospital trauma service, I see hundreds of patients a year with hand , wrist and forearm injuries sustained at work, playing sport or around the home. While a first appointment following trauma might be at your local A&E, an appointment in clinic allows for a bespoke treatment plan to be put in place.
For broken bones, surgery is often not necessary, and with careful splinting and programmed physiotherapy results can be excellent.
When surgery is required, I operate at the renowned Hand and Wrist Unit at the Wellington Hospital.
