Mucous Cysts

A mucous cyst is a ganglion of the end joint of the finger. It can distort nail growth and will recur if it bursts.

Mucous cysts are usually caused by a bony spike which needs to be removed at operation.

Surgery is curative, simple and quick and performed under a local anaesthetic.
